Every roundup starts with a real problem dog owners search for. From there we build a shortlist and compare products on the things that actually matter for that problem.
What we look at
- Product specifications: sizes, materials, weight limits, washability.
- Published tests and reviews from independent sites, and safety certifications such as the Center for Pet Safety's crash tests. Each page names its sources.
- Common questions and complaints from real dog owners in forums, used to decide what a page needs to answer (we never invent or copy owner quotes).
- Fit for the specific problem — a harness for a strong puller is not the same as one for a puppy.
What we don't do
- We never accept payment for a better spot in a roundup.
- We don't claim to have tested a product unless the page says so.
- We don't show star ratings or invented "editor's choice" seals.
